On our last show the guys talked about Madonna’s Greatest Hits album, named “Celebration.” Meat Matt talked about songs that he wanted on the album and he got his wish with “4 Minutes.” I, on the other hand, am not so happy about the songs. I feel 3 tracks were wrongfully overlooked: “Burning Up“, “Angel” and more importantly “True Blue!” How could she have forgotten about “True Blue?” This song was dedicated to Sean Penn, who was her husband back then. It had a very Bubble Gum Pop sound, which I love! The video version is a little different from the album version, which is upsetting. I grew up in the 80’s, so obviously Madonna was huge during that time. I really feel that there are only four true mega stars in music: Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Elvis Presley and Madonna. Everyone else is just a notch below. Artists like Prince, Robert Plant, Elton John, Mick Jagger and David Hasselhoff are just below them. I know I might be being too picky, but if Meat Matt can get what he wants, then why can’t I?
