Junkyard Empire – Acts of Humanity Vol. 1 & 2

Midwest five-piece, Junkyard Empire, has returned with their latest LP, Acts of Humanity Vol. 1& 2.  Acts . . . is 13 tracks of thought-provoking rhymes paired with some funkdafied-jazz that provide some cerebral fodder to
nod your head to.

The unique and sonically refreshing sounds are generated by: guitarist Bryan Berry, bassist Steve Hogan, lead rhymer Brihanu, drummer Graham O’Brien and trombonist Chris Cox.  No socio-political stone is left unturned with subjects ranging from the Gaza strip, suicide, PTSD, capitalism versus socialism and more.  The first half of Acts . . . is brand new
material with the second half coming from their Rebellion Politik EP released in 2010.

The songs of note include the slamming rallying cry of “We Want,” the heavy beats of “Kritikal,” the Latin r&b tinged “Regla” and the danceable “Alright” is perfect for your summer party playlist.  For fans of 40 Watt Hype, Flobots
and fresh perspectives on classic musical concepts, give Junkyard Empire a spin.  Your conscience will thank you for
it.
