The Shondes – “Lines and Hooks”

Remember The Shondes? Of course you do! We had the pleasure of interviewing Temim Fruchter, drummer for The Shondes on The Enter The Shell Show! Well, the foursome released their album, My Dear One, earlier this year and are offering you a free song as a single/EP!

“Lines and Hooks” contradicts itself with its distorted guitar and classy violin, but when the verse comes in featuring Louisa Solomon’s sweet-yet-powerful voice, everything comes together nicely. Her bouncy bass and Fureigh’s tricky, jazzy guitar gives this song a dancey, rock feeling while her voice puts her in the same class and Florence Welch. The song is upbeat and dark at the same time, while acting as an inspiration for all you ladies out there who need a little empowerment boost!

This song is the newest single off of My Dear One but is a bonus since the band added three B-Sides from the making of their 2010 album.
