Brothers Austin and Alex formed The Noise FM in Fort Scott, Kansas, a town of 8,000 in southeast Kansas before relocating to the city of Chicago in 2010. Their new album Attraction was inspired by their move from Kansas to Chicago, going from a city where they had a solid fanbase to starting over in a brand new town without knowing anyone.

The frustration and anxiety about their move are evident in many of the tracks on Attraction, which was recorded at Waterdog Studios in Chicago. The overarching theme of the record is evident in the title–the attraction, or pull toward forces both positive and negative.

Attraction is the sound of us having fun, and writing the kind of record we would want to listen to. Every song has a distinct feel and sound, and the record is influenced by the wide variety of music we like to listen to.”
