Funk/Soul for the Week

Funk/Soul for the Week

Risin’ to the Top- Keni Burke:  Oh Yeah!  This is what I’m talkin’ about!  Does it get any smoother than this?  I think not!  What a blend of some cool jazz, mixed with some smooth R&B vocals!  This song makes you wanna start boppin’ your head up & down.  This song should satisfy the jazz enthusiast as well as those R&B funk gurus!  My Suggestion:  Get in your ride, roll your windows down, put this song on, and raise the volume until the songs sounds distorted!  Hey Dr. J, Keep Risin’ To The Top!

Two Occasions– The Deele:  Back in the day this song was played over & over again.  I remember my first school crush:  Kaoloni.  She was Hawaiian, and I was in love!  In 2nd grade she moved the Hawaii and I was crushed!  I remember hearing this song and playing it over & over again!  This was Babyface’s first group, and it brings back all those memories!  So I dedicate this to Kaoloni, but more to my new love KY!  Kaoloni may have had my heart at first, but I’ve moved on to bigger & better things!
