In the beginning, ADC started out as a joke, both literally and figuratively: a goofy name used to represent a bad idea, and the band an excuse to pass some time and kill a fifth of whiskey. Gradually, it morphed into something more profound and indeed serious. After several permutations, the band distilled down to a dedicated four-piece, with Chris, Gerad, Meagan and Ian forming the core of Another Dead Clown. After some disastrous early gigs, the band drove 150 miles north from New York to Ludlow, MA. After clearing the barn on Sweet Local Farm of hay bales and assorted agricultural implements, their debut LP This May Not Work began to take shape, and the rest, as they say, is history in the making.
